Statement of Commitment to Members

Founded in 1933, we are a not for profit financial cooperative owned by our members. We will continually demonstrate the value of credit union membership in all areas of operations and shall always treat our members with respect and dignity while assisting them in reaching all of their financial goals.

Service to Members

Each member becomes an owner of the credit union by opening a shares/savings account. The motto "Once a Member Always a Member," allows someone to be a member for life as long as they maintain their share account with Foothills CU. "Not for Profit, Not for Charity, But for Service" represents good business practices that ensure the financial strength of our credit union on behalf of our members. We strive to help our members understand creditworthiness and obtain their goals through education of financial practices.

Service to our Community

We strive to raise the overall level of social and economic well being of our community through public service activities such as direct financial support and service contributions to worthwhile organizations and activities within our community. Thus, strengthening ties within our community and creating a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for everyone.

Commitment to the Credit Union movement

We shall continue to participate in all credit union activities to build and strengthen our unique credit union movement by providing resources to others within the credit union community. We shall preserve the credit union democratic principles on all levels of government and in other appropriate public forums. In addition, we shall participate in local, state, and national cooperative activities as appropriate in order to build and maintain relationships with others within the national cooperative movement.

Foothills CU shall continue to communicate our philosophy of "People Helping People" in a meaningful way so that members, potential members, legislators, regulators, and the community at large will understand, appreciate, and support the unique role of a member-owned financial cooperative and how it impacts their lives and the success of our community.
